When you think of Belgium, you immediately think of Beer, waffles, French (Belgian) fries and of course of delicious Belgian chocolate.
Since 2013, Brussels hosts the « Salon du Chocolat » and as a chocolate lover I couldn’t not go to that annual orgy of chocolate.
I wasn’t disappointed by what entered my mouth, lots of delicious dark chocolate (Benoit Nihant dark chocolate with cocoa from Madagascar is to die for), even some nice marshmallow covered with dark chocolate (Baru, Belgium).
One of the good surprises was the « cho’éclair », chocolate pralines shaped like éclairs with different fillings and with some colourful decorations. The co-owner explained her husband was tired of doign only bakeries so he decided to learn making chocolate confectioneries and in 2013 came with the « cho’eclair »concept, now they are selling around the world, for the japanese market they even got « kawai » versions with pink cartoonish motifs.
so overall a nice 2016 edition, it was difficult going back home without a few boxes of precious chocolates. I can’t wait to go back next year!
My daily social-virtuak fix of facebook was suddenly cut yesterday when I my account was reported to « pseudonymous », the only way to get it back is to send a scan of my ID card!! I thought it was a sort of scam at first but it is part of the new policy of facebook to be « authentic ».
For me this was the straw that broke the camel’s back, as we were not giving enough private info to facebook by posting, sharing, the bigbro wants to get more.
What are they going to do with my ID scan? It is precised it will be destroyed after completing the identity authentification process, everyone knows nothing disappears in the internet, in thousands years, if internet or an improved network still exists, « archeologists » will find dozen pictures of Kardashian ass.
Anyway, I’ve decided to create my own blog where I will post about my passion for cooking, baking, drawing, photography, evil cute animals, traveling, and so on
As Voltaire wrote in Candide, we need to cultivate our own garden by thinking, reading absorbing the beautiful things of life so we can later pick some juicy tasty fruits (that part is from me).
Welcome to the Garden of Delights !
Today I brought the monster to the park, she had so much fun she didn’t want to leave.
